"If you have your Malme, you have your worth."

Daytime population (number of workplaces) according to SNI 2007, 2019 - 2021 - Statistical data for Malmö's areas

Shows in which industry the gainfully employed people working in the area work. The division follows the Standard for Swedish Industrial Classification (SNI) 2007. The categories O (unknown), A (agriculture, hunting and forestry), B (extraction of materials), D (supply of electricity, gas, heating and cooling), E (water supply, etc.), T (household production, etc.) and U (activity at international organizations) have been merged into the category "Other" due to the low number of people working in these industries. The variable also shows the total number of people working in the area. The variable is broken down by gender. It is shown for the population aged 16–74. It is based on statistics from SCB RAMS ("Register-based labour market statistics"). The statistics include all individuals between 16 and 74 who are registered in Sweden on 31 December. As of reference year 2019, a new data source and method are used to classify gainfully employed people in RAMS. There is therefore a time series break for this time series starting with data from 2019. A large number of workers within an area are required to be able to break down the group into the different SNI categories. The SNI categories can therefore only be reported for a few sub-areas. Starting with reference year 2019, Statistics Sweden uses a new data source and method to classify gainfully employed people in RAMS. The change in source and method means that comparisons of statistics for 2019 and previous reference years must be made with great caution.
